It's Been a Blast! (11.22.10)

I would like to say, “Thank You!” to the parents for allowing me these past 4 weeks with your tremendous girls. My hope for these past 4 weeks was that they would have an awesome time together exercising, learning about the importance of fueling their bodies and becoming more aware of how amazing they truly are. Self-esteem and confidence are so important for our daughters, especially as they get ready to head into middle school. It’s proven that kids that believe in themselves and know their worth are much more likely to succeed in life and not succumb to the pressures of this world. That is why we incorporated the “I can do it!” chant into our weekly time together. Please consider enrolling your girls for the January session of Kids in Motion. Thanks again!

Start Today (11.15.10)

I love “new beginnings”... that today is a new day. I love it because it is never too late to start something good. It’s never too late to start eating right or to start exercising. Today is the perfect day to start! It doesn’t matter how many times we’ve failed in the past. Today is a new day! That goes the same for believing in ourselves or treating other people kind or forgiving someone. I always encourage my kids that “they can do it.” They can always choose good, they can always choose kindness, they can always choose a better snack, they can always choose to go outside to play rather than sitting in front of the tv. If we want our children to make good choices, it would help them out tremendously if we modeled it for them. DO IT TOGETHER - START TODAY!
